From humble beginnings
In 1987, the founders had the idea of starting a business that would eventually be the supplier of the Chinese takeout restaurants that they worked in. Having worked in the industry, they were easily able to understand the market gaps and the pain points faced by these small family-owned businesses.
In the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Chinese takeout restaurants in the Northeast relied on small suppliers that use their minivans for deliveries. They were not able to scale and meet the demand of the meteoric rise of these restaurants.
Since its inception, Yi Pin has become a large-scale wholesale distributor for restaurants and businesses in North America ranging from small delis to large corporations looking for sauces and glassine bags.
Even though we have grown, our ethos of providing high-quality products and customer experience has stayed consistent.
